Hello, and welcome to the Jh.Cutlery online shop. I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit. Before I send you down the browsing rabbit hole you are about to fall into... let me tell you a little bit about myself and how I came into this profession.

My name is Jamie Hammond, I am a bladesmith and knifemaker. You could say I started this Journey at the young age of 16, when I bought my first Katana sword. Ever since that day I have been amazed by the process of creating swords, knives, axes, and cutlery. I was interested in the craft, but didn't have the resources or knowledge to take it further then an interest at that time.

In January of 2016 at the age of 31, I decided I finally wanted to try. During my Tool and Die apprenticeship I was sent on a materials run to pick up supplies. While i was at one of the metal suppliers, I asked what type of steel was good for knife blades and he pointed me in the direction of some 01 Tool steel. I then created a design for a skinning knife, cut a test blank from some wood and went to work on making my first real knife. Needless to say the first one was pretty crude for the standards I have now, but it paved the way for much more knowledge and the idea that "yes I can actually do this".

Since then I have been on a constant mission to become better and better at this craft. In September of 2020 with the support of my beautiful wife, I was able to make the leap to be a maker full-time. Its been a wonderfully stressful and busy adventure to this point, and I would like to thank my family and my friends for the amazing support they have given me. I also want to give a special shout out to the Demerling brothers, without them none of this would be happening. Thanks guys 🍻.

I truly believe that when you pick up one of my knives, you will feel and see the quality and attention to detail that you will not find with a lot of the other handmade or even factory made knives on the market. The Spartan Elite Series comes with a 1095 high carbon steel blade that has been clay hardened, hand polished and acid dipped to reveal a beautiful Hamon, Its handle also receives an upgrade with multiple material options available.   • Jh.Cutlery 8"Stainless Chef

    The Jh.Cutlery 8" Stainless steel chefs knife is the go to kitchen knife. With an Aeb-L stainless steel blade and a beautifully hand crafted and ergonomic handle, the Jh.Cutlery Chef is a fit for any kitchen. Ground very thin these knives are performers. The blade is hand sanded to a satin finish. There are various handle material options as well. Starting at $500.00 cdn these beauties also come with their own custom Jh.Cutlery genuine leather sheath.

  • 8" Chef and 3.5" pairing Combo

    The Jh.Cutlery Chef and Pairing knife combo is a great fit for any kitchen. The Aeb-L blades are thinly ground and hand sanded to a beautiful satin finish. The handles are beautifully crafted while being ergonomic and comfortable in the hand. These sets include a Jh.Cutlery hand made genuine leather dual knife sheath as well.   • Spartan Groomsman Series

    These special edition sets are beautifully designed and created with your big day and your wedding party in mind. The materials i use when creating your groomsman knives have been thought out and specialized to you. Based on the Spartan Elite series, these knives are made from 1095 High carbon steel which is clay hardened, hand polished and acid etched to reveal a beautiful hamon. The handles have 3 parts to them. A light and dark material representing a "tuxedo", and a coloured spacer that represents your accent colour. The 2 brass spacers on either side are representative of wedding rings. These knives also come with their own custom Jh.Cutlery genuine leather sheath.
